IRT

The Inter Regional Tournament (IRT) is a tournament that was started by Andre Wessels and person with surname of Dixon to bring together the teams from other regions like, KZN, Western Cape, North West, Ekurhuleni and Johannesburg to play against Tshwane.

Structure

Tournament takes place on a rotational basis with each region getting opportunity to host the tournament, since 2018 the tournament was hosted at Camp Discovery by Tshwane, North West and JSA and in Durban and Kearnsy College by KZN.

Team Selection

Teams are selecte from players from A-League schools and some from B-League.

The Blue Sox is the A-Team, Red Sox – B-Team, White Sox – C-Team / Development Team. In 2022 & 2023 a 4th team was added namely Kgodiso as a development team.

Exclusion

Players from B-Teams, C & D League are excluded from going to trials.

Tournament

No other tournaments exists as alternative for IRT.
