Baseball: Smaller (around 9 inches in circumference).

Pitching:
Softball: Underhand delivery.
Baseball: Overhand delivery.

Field Dimensions:
Softball: Smaller field, shorter base paths, and shorter distance to the outfield fence.
Baseball: Larger field, longer base paths, and longer distance to the outfield fence.

Pitching Mound:
Softball: flat pitching area.
Baseball: Raised pitching mound.

Game Length:
Softball: Typically 7 innings.
Baseball: Typically 9 innings.

Base Running:
Softball: Runners cannot lead off base until the pitch leaves the pitchers hand.

Infield:
Softball: Often has a “skinned” dirt infield.
Baseball: Infields typically have grass.

These differences contribute to variations in gameplay, strategy, and overall pace of the two sports.
